Privacy policy
We keep nothing once you've opened the card. This is what that means, and what we actually do keep.
The essentials
- Answers and guesses are encrypted until you open them. Then they're deleted.
- Unopened answers are deleted after 7 days at most, and at once if either of you leaves the couple or deletes your account.
- There is no archive. We only keep which cards you've played, so they don't repeat.
- We don't store your name, your email address or a password.
- We show no ads and sell no data.
We can't promise that your partner won't take a screenshot or record an answer. On Android the app blocks screenshots, but on iPhone they can't be blocked.

Coderr AB, company number 559105-7012, is the data controller. You can reach us at help@coderr.io.
What we keep
Answers and guesses
Text or voice messages you give on a card. They can reveal sensitive things about you or your partner, such as health or sex life, so we treat every answer as sensitive.

- So your partner can see the answer when you open the card.
- How long
- Until the card is opened, and 7 days at most.
Account
Whether you sign in with Apple or Google, and an identifier from them. We never receive a password.

- So you can sign in and reach your couple.
- How long
- Until you delete the account.
Phone
An identifier for the phone, and an address for notifications once you've turned them on.
- Why
- An account is signed in on one phone at a time, and cards and reminders have to reach the right phone.
- How long
- Until you change phones or delete the account.
Your couple and schedule
Who is in the couple, which days the cards come, the time of your evening, the time zone and your invitations.
- Why
- So the cards come when you've chosen.
- How long
- Until the account is deleted. An invitation works for 7 days.
Played cards
Which cards you've been dealt, swapped and opened, and on which days. Not what you answered. The evening packs leave no such history.
- Why
- So cards don't repeat. After a year a card can come back.
- How long
- One year, or less if the couple ends or the account is deleted.
Settings
For example whether you want reminders and hints, and whether you've said yes to cards about sex.

- So the app does what you've chosen.
- How long
- Until you change them or delete the account.
Purchases
Which card packs you've bought. Google Play or Apple handles the payment, and we never receive your card details.
- Why
- So you can both use the pack.
- How long
- Until the account is deleted. Records required by the Swedish Bookkeeping Act are kept as long as the law requires, currently seven years.
Card ratings
If you rate a card we keep how many ratings the card has and their sum per language, plus an anonymous mark so the same account can't rate the card twice. None of it holds your account, your sign-in or your couple.

- To remove cards that don't work.
- How long
- The totals stay, since they can't be traced to anyone.
Reports
If you report a card or your partner, we receive what you write and which account, couple and card it concerns. We also receive your email address if you add one, and an answer, guess or voice memo if you choose to send it.
- Why
- So we can act on the report and reply to you.
- How long
- The app's server keeps no copy. The report arrives as an email to our contact address, and we delete it once the matter is closed.
Legal basis
We process the data to give you the game you've chosen to use (contract, GDPR article 6(1)(b)). Answers that contain sensitive data are processed with your explicit consent (article 9(2)(a)). You can withdraw consent at any time by not answering, turning off cards about sex or deleting your account.
Cards about sex
Cards about sex are off from the start. Each of you chooses separately on a screen of its own in the settings, and the cards only turn on once you've both said yes. The app doesn't show what the other has chosen, although missing cards can of course be worked out. When one of you turns them off the cards are removed for both of you, unopened cards too, and the app sends no notification about it.
Who helps us
- Hosting: A hosting provider in Sweden stores the data for us.
- Lettermint (the EU): delivers reports to us by email. It may keep a report, including anything you chose to send with it, for up to 28 days.
- Google: sign-in, notifications and purchases on Android.
- Apple: sign-in, notifications and purchases on iPhone.
Google and Apple may process data outside the EU and EEA. When they do, it relies on the EU data protection framework or standard contractual clauses. They are themselves responsible for the data in their own accounts and purchases.
Age limit
Re:us is for people aged 18 and over. You confirm your age when you start playing.
Your rights
You have the right to know what data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its processing, and get your data in a common format. Write to us and we'll reply within a month.
How to delete your account is on the Delete account page.
If you're unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Swedish data protection authority, IMY.
This website
This website uses no cookies and no analytics, and loads nothing from other companies. If you delete your account from the Delete account page, your browser goes to Apple's or Google's own sign-in page and back, and this website stores nothing of it. The hosting provider may log IP addresses for a short time to keep the site secure and running.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters to you, we'll tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
